# ftpsrv 1.16-ng Stable Released with PS5 13.60 Support

Another useful PS5 payload just received a major update.

Developer **Drakmor has released ftpsrv 1.16-ng Stable**, bringing new features and expanded support for newer PS5 firmware, including **SELF decryption support on firmware 13.60**.

For anyone who uses FTP to manage files on a jailbroken PS5, this release adds some genuinely useful tools beyond basic file transfers.

### What's New?

One of the biggest additions is **SELF decryption support for PS5 firmware 13.00, 13.20, 13.40, 13.42 and 13.60**.

The update also introduces new **LOWER and UPPER commands**, allowing users to recursively change file, folder and symlink names between lowercase and uppercase. The server checks for naming conflicts before making changes, and the operation can be canceled using the STOP command.

Another interesting addition is a new virtual **/proc directory** on PS5.

This allows users to browse running processes and view process information directly through FTP. Advanced users can also terminate a process through the new /proc functionality.

### Why Does This Matter?

ftpsrv is more than just a convenient way to move files between a computer and a jailbroken PS5. It has become a useful tool for developers and advanced homebrew users who need deeper access to files and system information.

The addition of SELF decryption for firmware **13.60** is especially interesting because we're seeing more PS5 homebrew tools gradually add support for newer firmware.

Just like Kstuff Lite 1.11, however, **ftpsrv supporting firmware 13.60 does not mean that ftpsrv itself provides a jailbreak for 13.60**. It is a payload designed to run within an already compatible jailbreak/homebrew environment.

The PS5 scene continues to move quickly, and GoldenGamesNexus will keep following these releases as more tools expand their support for newer firmware.
